Commentaries in the Reference Room    

The most significant and current sets are shelved in the Reference Area according to the Dewey Decimal Classification.  Reference books may be checked out for 24 hours.

Commentaries in the Circulating Collection (North Wing)

Older sets and those which cover several Biblical books in each volume are shelved as a group in the circulating collection (220.7, 221.7, 225.7). Individual volumes are shelved according to the book of the Bible.  Classification numbers for biblical books.

 

Second copies of heavily used commentaries are added to the circulating collection in the north wing whenever possible.  Note how the online catalog indicates the location of two copies of the same book:
