Bible Dictionaries

Bible dictionaries and encyclopedia provide general information about books of the Bible, biblical characters and places, and related topics.  They are an excellent source of retrospective bibliography for further study.

The AMBS Library Reference Room contains a wide variety of dictionaries and encyclopedias (REF 220.3).  Older publications of this type may be found in the circulating collection at the same number.

The Interpreter's Dictionary of the Bible, 5 vols. Nashville/New York; Abingdon: 1976.  (R 220.3 In8 and 220.3 In8 in the lower book stacks)
