Interlibrary Loan: Online Requests

Use WorldCat to create online requests for books and audiovisual items from other libraries

For journal articles, submit a paper form in the library or send an email request to libraryassistant@ambs.edu.

Follow these steps for books and audiovisual items:

Create an account in WorldCat, the catalog of materials in libraries around the world.

Select "My Account" in the upper right hand corner and then "New User Registration".

Include all address information even that which is not required.
In the future, login to "My Account" before searching for items to request.

Seach WorldCat for the desired book.

Display the full record.
In the upper left corner, select the ILL icon.

On the Interlibrary Loan Request Form check the information.

Enter the "Not Needed After" date
Change status in the drop-down box as needed.
Community borrowers do not have ILL privileges.  Check with your local public library.
[Submit]

The AMBS Librarian will review your ILL request and send it on to the library.  She will contact you if there are any problems.

Requests for journal articles must still be done on the paper form available in the library.  You may contact Karl Stutzman (kstutzman@ambs.edu) to inquire about making your request by email.
