Other Important Tools and Techniques

Old Testament and New Testament Abstracts
Published three times a year, these print volumes list current books and periodical articles with summaries.  The final volume of each year includes a scripture index.  Located on the index table adjacent to course reserves in the central area of the library.
 
Browsing
Browse the stacks to locate books on a specific book of the Bible.  In each book, scan the table of contents and indexes for relevant information. Books of the Bible are arranged on the shelf by Dewey Decimal classification numbersClassification numbers for the Psalms.

Not many books are written on specific scripture texts.  However, librarians do assign subject headings when appropriate so it is worth checking the online catalog.  Browse the subject subject headings using to the following format:
