AMBS Celtic Spirituality Pilgrimage
July 12–29, 2013
Led by Marlene Kropf and Stanley Kropf
Come and join other pilgrims on a journey next summer to ancient, medieval, and modern centers of Celtic spirituality in Scotland, England and Wales.
The 2013 Celtic Spirituality Pilgrimage will focus on three pilgrimage routes and destinations in the British Isles: the Isle of Iona in Scotland; Holy Island (Lindisfarne) in England; and Bardsey Island in Wales. We plan to conclude the pilgrimage in Norwich, where we will visit the cell of the medieval mystic, Julian of Norwich.
Although activities will vary from day to day, you can expect the pilgrimage to include daily experiences of morning and/or evening prayer; stimulating presentations on the Celtic Church and its spiritual traditions; quiet spaces for retreat; time for recreation and long walks (sometimes on ancient pilgrimage routes); visits to ancient crosses; and many opportunities for conversation and reflection with other pilgrims.
