Three hours - Steve Schweitzer
This is the basic course in Old Testament exegesis sequence. It offers reading skill in Hebrew, an introduction to the process of exegesis, insights into Hebrew narrative texts, and familiarity with computer programs that aid in the study of biblical texts.

INT522E Theology of the Church
Three hours - Gayle Gerber Koontz
This course is required by most of the AMBS degree programs of study. It examines theology of the church in some of its biblical, historical and contemporary expressions; introduces research tools and method in theological study; and underlines the connection between theological reflection and congregational practice. Three hours - Walter Sawatsky
Readings and discussion questions foster rethinking Mennonite history: migrations, mission, ethics, theology, spirituality, ethnicity and national adaptation. It looks at initial Anabaptist visions, how influences enriched it, and what role Mennonites play within Christianity today.
