AMBS–Great Plains
AMBS—Great Plains serves students in the central Kansas region of Wichita and Newton, with occasional courses in Nebraska and other locations. Students may pursue any degree program offered by AMBS, completing up to two-thirds of an MDiv or one-half of an MA.
Winnipeg Centre for Ministry Studies
WCMS offers educational and professional resources for those in vocational and lay ministry. It connects with pastors and ministry leaders through courses, pastoral round tables, workshops and special events. For more information, visit www.cmu.ca/programs/seminary.html

Other off-campus study options
SCUPE
The Seminary Consortium for Urban Pastoral Education (www.scupe.org) is an interdenominational program in Chicago, Ill., that provides specialized urban theological studies. The program is designed to equip seminarians with the theoretical information and practical experience necessary to make them effective leaders in urban settings. Courses are offered in two formats:
- On weekends, beginning Friday afternoons and ending Saturday evenings.
- Over several weeks or months during January and the summer.
Students are immersed in the city as they work in urban churches and organizations, and as they receive supervision from experienced urban pastors and leaders. For a list of upcoming SCUPE courses, visit our urban education listing.
Online courses
AMBS offers online courses to meet several needs:
- For people who want to explore seminary study before making a commitment to move to campus
- For students in degree programs, who live at a distance and wish to do some study from their home.
- For people who want to enhance their knowledge of the Bible, church history, or other aspects of theological study in order to contribute more fully in their congregations.

The Church Leadership Center
The Church Leadership Center encompasses a variety of non-degree programs dedicated to the enrichment of current and future church leaders. It offers off-campus intensives, such as the Preaching Institute and Spiritual Guidance Seminar.
Additional options in Canada
Alberta and Saskatchewan Mennonite conferences work with AMBS to offer occasional courses.
