Advent Planner is a day for equipping pastors, worship leaders and musicians to guide their congregations into the anticipation and promise of the season. The day offers creative ideas and opportunities to imagine possibilities for scripture presentations, children’s time, prayer, music and visual elements. Using the Mennonite Church Advent 2012 theme, Flood of Mercy, this workshop introduces the lectionary-based worship resources published in Leader magazine. Participants should bring a copy of the magazine or order one when registering for the workshop.

Worship planners and leaders in congrega-tions observing Advent will find this a helpful day for experiencing the possibilities and faith formation potential of this season.

Leaders

Rebecca Slough, Ph.D., is the AMBS Academic Dean and Associate Professor for Worship and the Arts.

Rosanna Eller McFadden, M.Div., is a 2011 graduate of AMBS and part of the pastoral team at Creekside Church of the Brethren in Elkhart. She and her family live in Goshen.

Allan Rudy-Froese, Ph.D., is the AMBS Assistant Professor of Christian Proclamation.

Rachel Miller Jacobs, M.Div., is the AMBS Assistant Professor of Congregational Formation.

Participants earn 0.5 CEUs for attending Advent Planner.

Cost

$80 before September 14, 2012
$70 each for three or more from one congregation before September 14
$90 after September 14
Additional student discounts are available on the online registration form.

Lunch is available for an additional $6. Please pre-register for lunch or plan to eat off campus.
