Deborah-Ruth Ferber

Hi, my name is Deborah-Ruth Ferber. I am 17 years old and a grade 11 student at a small Mennonite high school in Leamington, Ontario. I attend North Leamington United Mennonite Church which is just across the street from my high school and am involved there with many different aspects of worship. Some areas that I volunteer with at church are doing sound system, doing children’s story, and teaching Sunday school. For the past two years I have also been blessed with the opportunity to be a part of the Mennonite Church Eastern Canada winter retreat planning committee. In school I am the minister of revenue for student council and an executive representative for the chapel committee. In terms of hobbies I enjoy biking and other activities in nature, and I also like to learn about different cultures and religions. I love music and drama, and play the violin. I am looking forward to !Explore, especially meeting all of you! I have always had a passion for mission and service work and would like to further discover this. I cannot wait to meet teens who have different beliefs and worship styles than I do and to get to hear their perspectives on various theological issues. When I graduate from high school I hope to attend a Mennonite Bible college or university and major in pastoral ministry and theology with a minor in either political science or English.
