Hello! My name is Tamara Shantz and I am currently residing in Goshen, Indiana where I serve as the Assistant Campus Minister at Goshen College. I have really enjoyed my first year here in Goshen, but am excited about the summer break and that I have the opportunity to spend three weeks with !Explore again this year. I am very much looking forward to meeting all of you.

I am Canadian, from St. Jacobs, Ontario. I grew up in St. Jacobs Mennonite Church and I am increasingly grateful for the love and nurturing I received from that community. I recently graduated from Yale Divinity School with a Master of Divinity degree and I am really enjoying the freedom that comes with no homework. I enjoy many things, including knitting, music of many kinds, playing the piano and a little guitar, being outside (hiking, rock climbing, canoeing - unfortunately these activities are only occasional). I love getting to know new people, talking theology and ethics (I'm particularly interested in the connections between ecology and theology, as well as thinking about social justice issues). !Explore has been a very meaningful experience for me in the past. I am continually amazed by the energy and enthusiasm all of you bring to the program, and I have been blessed by participants' faith, courageous questions, insight, and lively spirits.
