Get from Another Library (ILL & Direct Borrowing)

Interlibrary loan and direct borrowing from other Indiana academic libraries are services for current AMBS students and faculty only.

For a copy of a journal article or book chapter:

Use the AMBS link in library databases, or complete this form.

For books and audiovisual items:

  • Seach WorldCat for the desired book.
  • Display the full record.
  • Click on the "Borrow this Item from Another Library" button.
  • Enter your personal information, status, and  "Not Needed After" date.
  • Click Submit.

How long does it take?

Most interlibrary loan materials take 1-2 weeks to arrive. Copies may arrive within 1-2 days if they can be delivered electronically.

Can I go to other libraries and borrow books directly?

AMBS students and faculty may borrow books at any college, university, or seminary library in the state of Indiana.

Students living on the Elkhart campus may get a borrower's card at the Elkhart Public Library with proof of residence.
