Apostle Willie Coates, Jr. is a co-organizer of Empowerment Saturdays in South Bend, Ind.and hosts The Urban Voice on the local radio station WUBS 89.7 FM. He is a native of South Bend where he grew up the son of Apostle Willie, Sr and Prophetess Fannie Mae Coates. He founded and served as pastor of New Wings of Faith Church from 1982 through 2007. Apostle Coates received dual ministerial ordination by the hand of the late Dr. Lester Sumrall and Apostle Willie Coates, Sr. Today Apostle Coates heads up a powerful seasoned team of prophets, intercessors, psalmists and minstrels providing apostolic support to ministry sons and friends.
Gilberto Pérez, Jr. (MSW) is associate professor of social work at Goshen College and the owner of Bienvenido Community Solutions, LLC, an organization that provides capacity building to leaders on group facilitation, culturally responsive training, and mental health promotion to Latino immigrants locally and nationally.In 2008 Gilberto was awarded the Distinguished Hispanic/Latino Hoosier Award given by the Indiana Commission on Hispanic/Latino Affairs. He obtained his undergraduate social work degree from Eastern Mennonite University, a graduate certificate in conflict transformation from Eastern Mennonite University, and a Master of Social Work from the Universidad Interamericana in San Juan, PR. In 2010 Gilberto accepted the call to serve as Regional Pastor with Indiana/Michigan Mennonite Conference. Currently, he serves in this role as Interim Regional Pastor. In 2012 he launched the Community Policing Presentations with Latino immigrant congregations and law enforcement officials from Elkhart County.
Reverend Jennifer Tinsley (MSW, MDiv) is an Itinerant Elder in the African Methodist Episcopal Church and currently serves as the pastor of St. James AME Church in Elkhart, Indiana. She also serves as vice president, Elkhart Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance. Before her assignment at St. James, she was the pastor of Bethel A.M.E. in Logansport, Indiana. She has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana; a Master of Social Work Degree from Loyola University of Chicago and a Master of Divinity Degree from McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago, Illinois. Before becoming a resident of Elkhart, Reverend Tinsley was a lifelong resident of Gary, Indiana.
