I fear no evil

In her blog, Sara Wenger Shenk emphasizes: "Over and over again, [Jesus] shows the way to a realignment of interior desire with a desire for God. He shows the way to reinterpret the law so that love of God and neighbor is paramount in interior affections and external actions." She calls us to be open to letting go of assumptions, if necessary, in order to align our priorities with God's: justice and mercy and faith

In her blog post this week, "I fear no evil," she reminds us that the psalmist sat in the presence of enemies and walked through the valley of the shadow of death with no fear. With our cups overflowing, as described in Psalm 23, we also can have the freedom to discover how we are called to fulfill the law with justice, mercy and faith.
