Special Events and Meals
Lunches are available Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. There will also be a pizza supper Monday evening, and a banquet meal with entertainment Wednesday evening. Tuesday supper is not provided. Participants must preregister for meals; if you do not, please plan to bring your own lunch or eat outside the dining hall.
Lunch for newcomers
Tuesday noon: All participants who are on the AMBS campus for the first time are invited to a complimentary lunch on Tuesday. Please indicate on the Pastors Week Registration Form if you plan to attend and on that day bring your lunch tray to Lambright Center Room H.
Pastor as Artist
Tuesday evening: You are invited to join in celebrating the role of the arts in the lives of ministering people. Gather in the AMBS Lambright Center around dessert and coffee to enjoy musical pieces, short readings, dance, poetry, visual arts and more. We invite you to prepare both a work to offer and a few words about how your artistic expression and ministry intersect. Rebecca Slough, AMBS Academic Dean, will facilitate. Affinity Group Lunch
Wednesday noon: We invite interested participants to join a group of pastors who hold a similar role. When you register, please indicate your top two choices or suggest a group you would like to add.

Pastors Week Banquet
Wednesday, 6:00 p.m.: Back by popular demand and with all new material is AMBS President Nelson Kraybill presenting “Nero, My Dog, Has Fleas.” While most days Nelson must go about the work of the seminary with utmost seriousness, in his spare time he has polished his skills as a prankster, magician and comedian. The evening promises to be at least as much fun as his Pastors Week Banquet debut in 2006, which had even seminary professors rolling on the floor.
Dessert with faculty
Thursday noon: During dessert at Thursday’s lunch, AMBS faculty will share about their current research and work in the church.
Hesston College Pastoral Ministries Program
Thursday noon: Alumni will gather for a reunion lunch in Lambright Center Rooms C-D.
Dinner and Dialogue at Goshen College
Thursday, 5:15 p.m.: Enjoy a complimentary buffet dinner, faculty speakers, worship, dialogue circles with GC administrators and faculty, and coffee with GC students from your conference. Watch for an invitation in late fall. Please call the Church Relations Office at
