Morning prayers

You are invited to pray the Daily Office Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings in the Chapel of the Word, Waltner Hall. The Daily Office is a structured prayer time that combines the Psalms and daily scripture readings. Eleanor Kreider will lead.

Pastor as Artist

Tuesday, evening, 7 p.m.
You are invited to join in celebrating the role of the arts in the lives of ministering people. Tuesday evening, January 24, participants will gather in the AMBS Lambright Center around dessert and coffee to enjoy musical pieces, short readings, dance, poetry, visual arts and more. We invite you to prepare both a work to offer and a few words about how your artistic expression and ministry intersect. Rebecca Slough, AMBS academic dean and associate professor of worship and the arts, will facilitate. Contact Rebecca to offer your piece or with questions at rslough@ambs.edu.

Meals

Light meals are available for Monday supper and Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday lunches. Participants must pre-register; if you do not, please plan to eat off campus. Tuesday supper is on your own. Other special meals and events are listed below.

Lunch for newcomers

All participants who are on the AMBS campus for the first time are invited to a complimentary lunch on Tuesday. Please indicate when registering if you plan to attend and bring your lunch tray to Lambright Center Room H on that day.

Hesston College Pastoral Ministries Program

Alumni will gather for a reunion lunch in Lambright Center Rooms C/D on Tuesday. Tim Lichti, Director of the Pastoral Ministries Program, will facilitate.

Affinity Group Lunch

Wednesday noon: We invite interested participants to join a group of pastors who hold a similar role. When you register, please indicate your top two choices or suggest a group you would like to add. Choices:

• new pastors
• women pastors
• co-pastors
• senior pastors of large churches
• lead pastors of small congregations
• bivocational pastors
• conference ministers
• chaplains
• associate pastors
• associate pastors for youth
• associate pastors for Christian formation
• associate pastors for pastoral care 

Pastors Week Banquet

Wednesday, 6:00 p.m.

Jep Hostetler, inspirational speaker (and humorist), magician and professor emeritus of preventive medicine, will be the featured speaker at the banquet.

Dessert with faculty

Thursday noon: During dessert at Thursday’s lunch, AMBS faculty will share about their current research and work in the church.

Visit with students at Goshen College

Thursday, 7 p.m.

All Pastors Week participants are welcome to visit Goshen College during Pastors Week. The Thursday evening dessert reception announced in the print materials has been cancelled, but the Church Relations office would be glad to provide a meal ticket or Java Junction coupon for pastors who wish to visit with GC students from their congregations. Campus tours, class visits and conversations with faculty are also available. Pastors are also welcome to attend chapel on Friday morning 10am at College Mennonite Church.
