Sherri Martin-Carman serves half-time as development associate for Associated Mennonite Biblical Seminary, Elkhart, Ind., and one-quarter time as admissions counsellor. She focuses her work primarily in Manitoba and Ontario, but is available as a resource to all of Mennonite Church Canada.

Sherri holds a Master of Divinity degree with a focus on Christian education and spirituality from AMBS; a Bachelor of Education degree from York University, Toronto; and a Bachelor of Arts (Child Studies) degree from Brock University, St. Catharines, Ont. She was a member of the AMBS board of directors for six years. She and James, her husband, are members of Hawkesville (Ont.) Mennonite Church.

Sherri brings a variety of experiences in ministry to this new role. She was associate pastor of Tavistock Mennonite Church, from 2001 to 2004, she was a Service Adventure leader for two years, and she coordinated the Mennonite Church Eastern Canada Vacation Bible School Troup ministry from 2007–2009. Her most recent assignments, in addition to the part-time AMBS roles, have been serving as interim pastor at Wanner Mennonite Church in Cambridge and Bloomingdale Mennonite Church, and as pastoral care assistant at the Nithview Community Retirement Home in New Hamburg, Ont.
