Chapel Services

Chapel services are held in the Chapel of the Sermon on the Mount three times a week during the academic year and once a week during summer sessions. A variety of formats is used, including preaching, intercessory prayer, music, drama, and communion.
Evening Song and Prayer services are offered several times a semester.
Worship services are planned and led by students, faculty, staff, and campus guests, and give opportunity for celebration, reflection, renewal, support, and growth.
Spiritual Formation Program
The spiritual formation program offers a variety of activities including courses, seminars, retreats and spiritual guidance to help students develop disciplines in prayer, worship, scripture meditation, spiritual friendships and the use of personal journals. The purpose is to nurture awareness of God's presence and guidance in personal and communal life and in the ministry and mission experience of the student. (See more through link at left.)
Forums
Forums, held during the lunch hour once a week through the academic year, give the AMBS community opportunity to explore and discuss a variety of issues. Presentations are made by AMBS staff or students or by guest speakers and are followed by time for discussion.
Student Body representatives
The student body representatives participate in most AMBS committees and meetings, including the seminary board meetings, faculty meetings, curriculum committee, and worship planning. There are also several committees made up of students, such as a group which plans social events.
The appointees and representatives of the student committees make up the Student Cabinet, which meets regularly for sharing of information and processing of decisions. Information, issues, and/or decisions are brought to the entire student body twice each semester.
Lambright Center lunches
Lambright Center lunches provide an excellent opportunity for interaction among students and faculty. A light lunch, usually soup, bread, salad and dessert, is served Monday through Friday for a modest fee during the weeks when classes are in session.
A large dining room and smaller meeting rooms provide space for informal gatherings and planned luncheon meetings.
Mennonite Cooperative Bookstore
The student-run Mennonite Cooperative Bookstore, located in Waltner Hall, offers software, books and supplies.
