Luke Beck Kreider, MA
Luke Beck Kreider works on religious environmental thought and practice, focusing on Christian environmental ethics as they intersect with issues of justice, conflict and peace. A graduate of Goshen (Indiana) College and Yale Divinity School, New Haven, Connecticut, he is now completing his dissertation on "Theologies of Peace and Ecologies of Violence" at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville.
Luke manages UVA's interdepartmental MA Concentration in Religion, Politics and Conflict, and coordinates Sanctuary Lab, an interdisciplinary working group exploring "political ecologies of the sacred in an era of global change." He has taught environmental theology and ethics at Goshen College, where he also served as Visiting Assistant Professor of Peace, Justice and Conflict Studies (2013-14).
