Journey: A Missional Leadership Development Program
A certificate program developing leaders centered in Jesus Christ for ministries in local churches and communities
God calls you to ministry and a Journey begins.
If you’re on this journey, you no doubt have discovered its excitement and fulfillment. Have you also encountered its challenges and demands? Have you wished for mentors and companions?
In the Journey program, learners join with their mentor to explore spiritual leadership together in their own context. Whether you are an active member of a congregation, a pastor with or without a formal education, a church planter, or lay leader preparing for ministry in the church or community, Journey can support your growth.
Expore your call
The Journey program is designed for people exploring a call to pastoral ministry, as well as for pastors and other congregational leaders called without specific training for ministry.
Learners are follow a curriculum focused on six guideposts: spiritual disciplines, theological and biblical studies, character development, mentoring and community, gift development, and leadership skills.
Learn in your own context
The Journey program is also distance-friendly, with different expectations for people from different geographic regions. You may not have to come to the Elkhart campus to participate.
While the content was created from a Mennonite or Anabaptist perspective, the Journey program is open to people of any denomination or no denomination and anyone from any tradition is welcome to apply.
