From classroom to congregation
When Maciel Arias Hernandez of Toronto, Ontario, first began AMBS’s Journey Missional Leadership Development Program, she didn’t see it as a step toward personal achievement. Instead, she understood it as an invitation to listen more closely for God’s calling.
Seminary commencement to be held May 2
AMBS will hold its 2026 Commencement Service on Saturday, May 2, in the Chapel of the Sermon on the Mount. Leonard Dow, Vice President of Community and Church Development for Everence, will bring the commencement address.

Church leaders explore “Resistance, Resilience, Rest” at annual conference
What do resistance, resilience and rest look like for Anabaptists at a time like this? That was the focus of Pastors & Leaders 2026, held Feb. 23–26 at AMBS. The conference drew around 190 in-person and 15 online participants from across the U.S. and Canada.
