AMBS’s 2019 commencement ceremony at College Mennonite Church in Goshen, Indiana, will honor 20 candidates for graduation who are completing degrees and certificates.
The commencement service will be live streamed at goshen.edu/live-stream.
A reception for graduates and guests will take place after the service in the Church Fellowship Hall.
About the speaker
Meghan Larissa Good, D.Min., of Phoenix, Arizona, teaching pastor at Trinity Mennonite Church in Glendale, Arizona, and author of The Bible Unwrapped: Making Sense of Scripture Today (Herald, 2018), will bring the commencement address. She is a graduate of Portland Seminary at George Fox University in Portland, Oregon; Duke Divinity School in Durham, North Carolina; and Gordon College in Wenham, Massachusetts. Good is a frequent preacher and lecturer at churches and universities across the country, speaking on subjects such as biblical hermeneutics and contemporary preaching.
About the candidates
Twenty students are anticipating graduating from AMBS in May 2019. Twelve will earn a Master of Divinity; two will earn a Master of Arts: Peace Studies; one will earn a Master of Arts: Theological Studies; and one will earn a Master of Arts: Theology and Peace Studies. Four students will receive a Graduate Certificate in Theological Studies, which represents one year of study.
